Sports Media Education Association Summer Conference

The Sports Media Education Association Summer Conference is a two-day gathering for people shaping the future of sports media education. It brings together educators, researchers and industry professionals to examine the realities of the sports media industry that exists now, and what that means for curriculum, skills, values and student opportunity.

The event will feature panels, workshops and collaborative discussion on topics including the creator economy, placements and career pathways, AI, trust and authenticity, paywalls, access, and research gaps in the field. Day 1 focuses on big-picture industry and education conversations. Day 2 is a working day centred on curriculum development, partnerships, shared projects and next steps for the sector.
