This course provides an advanced exploration of the principles and practice of local anaesthesia administration within podiatry. Attendees will critically evaluate the pharmacological principles, legal frameworks, and clinical governance requirements that support safe and effective local anaesthetic use by HCPC-registered podiatrists under the Prescription Only Medicines (POM) administration annotation. Emphasis is placed on the development of advanced clinical reasoning to assess patient suitability for podiatric surgical procedures, incorporating risk assessment, contraindications, and informed consent.

This one-day CPD course provides an in-depth and clinically applied exploration of neurological assessment, combining detailed cranial nerve examination in the morning with advanced upper and lower limb neurological assessment in the afternoon.

The Post Anaesthetic Care in Recovery course equips registered practitioners with essential skills and knowledge for immediate post-operative care. It covers postoperative care, patient assessment, safety measures, and emergency responses through interactive discussions and case-based learning.
